IELTS GURU providing you this time some selected idioms.

IDIOMS helps a lot in IELTS writing task 2 because this task carries more weightage  than task 1 and  getting 7 in writing task is not " A PIECE OF CAKE" . So write down some selected idioms whick u can use mostly all kind of topics :-
            
        COMMON IDIOMS                                                             MEANING                                  

 1) Big task on your hands                                                     having something imp ortant to finish  
you can use this idiom in intro as well as in concluision (mostly in case of opinions or defining the role of society and governments as a responsibility.


2) Can't stand(something)                                                      not in favour / dislike something 
use this idiom in INTRO part or in THESIS statement like (some people cannot stand with this view or i cannot stand(disagree) with other view of statement.

3) Easier said than done                                                        easy to say but hard to actually do
this can be used as a supporting details of that argument which is not realistic or practical. like Changing the world is easier said than done.

4) Gone off the track                                                             forget about your future goals
this is best suitable for essays where children or teenagers are mentioned in the body paragraphs like,
Youngsters mostly gone off the track in the sabbatical period after secondary education.

5) Made a key decision                                                         make an important decision
 this idiom can be used in the last body paragraph like various key decision need to be made regarding environment protection.
 
                                      
For once, only 5 are enough because list is not easy to memorise and there is no need to cram all kind idioms just learn only important idioms to make your essay impressive.
